1) Kyle Walker

Walker’s career has been curtailed by injury. His PFA Young player of the year award seemed to point to a fantastic future with his club and with the national team. However, injuries and general below par performances have meant he now looks incredibly distant from the potential fans envisioned for him a few years ago. However, despite this, he has still found himself a regular in the England squad over the past few years and has been consistently solid in the right back role for country.

The competition in that area isn’t fantastic in truth, Glen Johnson being the man Kyle has had to battle with for a place these past few years. However, with the continued emergence of Nathenial Clyne, Walker’s position in the national team is seriously under threat. His performances must improve, otherwise the best he can hope for at Euro 2016 is a place on the bench whilst Clyne nails down a starting spot. He’s got the ability, we know that, but he needs to start showing it now.
