Woodgate warns Spurs off of £45m attacking signing

Spurs still have work to do to secure Champions League football this weekend, but the club appear to already be turning their attentions to next season, with movement in the transfer market.

Tottenham are keeping tabs on Villarreal winger, Arnaut Danjuma, according to 90min.

Danjuma has hit the ground running in Spain, netting 10 times in La Liga and scoring a vital 6 goals in the Champions League to take his side to the semi-final.

The Dutchman, rated at £45m, joined Villarreal last year from Bournemouth, where he had been managed by former Tottenham defender Jonathan Woodgate.

On the rumours, Woodgate told GIVEMESPORT: “They’ve got Danjuma on their radar. He’s a good player, but I don’t believe that he’s going to increase the ceiling of what this Tottenham team can achieve, so I think this is one they will wait and see on.”

He joined Villarreal last summer for around £20million, so the Spanish club will probably require something close to his £45million valuation to consider selling him after such a successful season.

Danjuma has been capped 6 times for his country, Netherlands, and with a world cup this winter, he may be hesitant to move away from a club where he is featuring regularly and impressing.
