Tottenham as a club has grown over the past 8-10 years. From mid table mediocrity to a team that most seasons have put in a genuine challenge for the Champions League. This mentality of trying to achieve a top four finish will have been the message engraved into the minds of players throughout the club, meaning that the players now coming through such as Harry Kane, Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend will know how important it is to the club if to reach the Champions League on a regular basis.
Obviously this is an extremely difficult task these days considering the unpredictable nature of the Premier League but if anyone understands what it would mean to the club to reach the Champions League again , it’s the players in the first team right now. It would mean so much to them to make it as they understand the fabric of the club and ambitions of the fans. This fight and commitment should not be ruled out as a vital factor in the games ahead.
