1) No more Europa League
There is no question that the way Spurs dropped out of the Europa League was disappointing, especially considering how we dominated the first leg against Serie A giants Fiorentina. However, it does mean that from now till the end of the season Spurs will have only Premier League games, with no need to worry about injuries or squad rotation in order to progress in other competitions.
Mauricio Pochettino should now be able to field his strongest side every week , meaning that our opposition will be coming up against a fully fit, fresh and motivated Tottenham team. The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool may not have this luxury as Liverpool will be favourites to knock out Blackburn and continue in the FA cup, whilst Arsenal face an FA Cup semi-final.
