Vincent Janssen has struggled to say the very least in his first season in the Premier League, and it looks like Spurs are wasting no time in replacing him if Robbie Fowler’s claims are correct that Spurs could make a move for Bournemouth striker Josh King.

Fowler claims that he has some inside information from Hotspur Way, and believes that Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy are weighing up a move for King in order to provide sufficient backup for Harry Kane, something they do not think Janssen can provide.

King enjoyed his most successful season at Dean Court last term, making 36 appearances for Eddie Howe’s side, scoring 16 goals, making him an ideal target for Mauricio Pochettino, who is looking to sign a proven goalscoring striker.

However, the striker will take some persuading if he is to join Spurs. The 25-year-old recognises that this is an important stage in his career and needs to play regular first team football. He reportedly has doubts about how much playing time he would be getting at Spurs, the factor that is putting him off a move to North London.
