3 Quality Signings Tottenham Could Complete Next Month

2 – João Moutinho

When Tottenham have Dembele in midfield they function pretty well, but without him, they often look very poor. The team cannot afford to be so reliant on one player and in my opinion, if long-term target Moutinho was signed, it would help the club massively.

The Portuguese international is an experienced midfielder with quality playmaking ability. He looked good when playing against Spurs in the Champions League and looked like the type of midfielder that Pochettino needs to add depth to his squad.

The 30-year-old has nearly 100 caps for Portugal, so would add much-needed authority and experience to the midfield. I feel he would perform best playing alongside someone like Victor Wanyama in a 4-2-3-1, but he could potentially form a very good midfield three alongside Dembele with Wanyama or Dier sitting deeper – it would at least give Pochettino more variety.
