Spurs waved goodbye to the UEFA Champions League group stages for this year, winning 3-1 against CSKA Moscow at Wembley and secured their place in the Europa League last 32.
Toby Alderweireld is of course back in contention for this one after coming on as a substitute in midweek, but Erik Lamela and Vincent Janssen remain out for the trip to Old Trafford in this key Premier League clash. Here is our Spurs predicted line-up to face Manchester United.
GK: Hugo Lloris
Had very little to do in midweek against CSKA Moscow, but has kept us in games this season, and might have to make some crucial saves to keep us in this one.
RB: Kyle Walker
He will be most likely be involved in what will turn out to be a very interesting battle. He will have to deal with the threat of Anthony Martial if he starts on the left, and will be important to the Spurs attack going forward.
CB: Toby Alderweireld
It’s great to have Toby back. We have been missing presence not only in defence but the penalty box for corners. His return will be a big boost for everybody in the Spurs squad and should start here.
CB: Jan Vertonghen
He will be glad to have his centre-back partner back for such a big game. He has stepped up since his fellow Belgian’s injury and just needs to continue his good form going forward into the busy Christmas period.
LB: Danny Rose
Henrikh Mkhitaryan is on fire for Manchester United, and Danny Rose will have to deal with his threat. Rose has been in good form recently and will be up to the task after a strong game against CSKA Moscow at Wembley.
