What a poor signing! Spurs smashed their transfer record with minutes of deadline day to go and managed to secure the £30m signing of Moussa Sissoko. He has to be one of the worst signings in the Premier League this season.

Sissoko’s market value rocketed after a string of strong performances for France at Euro 2016, but has failed to deliver for Spurs this season. The Frenchman has not made it into the Spurs team on many occasions, and has disappointed almost every single time when he has been included.

The 27-year-old put in one of the worst displays I have ever seen from somebody in a Spurs shirt in the Champions League horror show at Wembley against Bayer Leverkusen. Sissoko looked unable to beat a man, unable to put a cross in and unable to post any kind of threat.

In recent interviews, Sissoko has vowed to improve, and I hope he is right. The Frenchman has been terrible so far this season, and taking into account the money Spurs have paid for his services, I will have to give him an E.
