Report: Tottenham close to completing £66million exciting double signing

Tottenham look set to complete an exciting double signing in the coming days, according to reports in England and Italy.

Tottenham are moving closer to the £47million signing of Atalanta defender Cristian Romero, according to The Times

The 23-year-old would become Tottenham’s second-biggest signing ever and be a significant move for the club, as they look to reinvest a likely large sum of money on the way from Manchester City for Harry Kane.

Toby Alderweireld has left the club this summer and Davinson Sanchez’s future is in doubt. A new central defensive signing was essential for the club this summer.

The club are also looking to improve at right-back and are closing in on a signing in that position.

According to calciomercato, Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Tomiyasu. The Bologna full-back looks like he will cost around £19million (22million euros).

Spurs still have Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier at the club, but according to The Athletic, Spurs are willing to sell Doherty this summer, just one year after signing him.

Tottenham fans will be happy with these defensive additions, with both players likely to improve the quality of their starting eleven.

But with star man Harry Kane set to depart, fans will soon be looking for attacking reinforcements for the new season.
