Report: Agent negotiating £34.5m deal that would see exciting forward join Spurs on deadline day

Tottenham have had a busy window and it looks like their business won’t end just yet, with an active deadline day in store for the Premier League table toppers.

Football agent Jorge Mendes has obtained a mandate signed by Adama Traoré to exclusively negotiate his transfer to Tottenham for 40 million euros, according to Spanish media outlet Cadena SER.

They say Mendes is a friend of Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who of course knows Adama extremely well having managed him for Wolverhampton.

It seems Nuno Espirto Santo views his former forward as an ideal option to add fuel to the club’s attack.

They add that if Adama is to move to Spurs, Wolves would sign Gonçalo Guedes for around 25 million euros.

It had previously been reported by  The Times that Tottenham were looking to sign Adama on an initial loan deal – but it now appears that the club are willing to stump up the cash to sign him permanently.

Elsewhere, Tottenham have agreed a £25million fee with Barcelona to sign Brazilian right back Emerson Royal.
