Player Ratings: Aston Villa 0-2 Tottenham

Tottenham bounced back from a difficult week with an impressive 2-0 victory at Aston Villa on Sunday night.

Jose Mourinho’s men were distraught after a catastrophic week for the club. Many tipped Aston Villa to take advantage of this but it was Tottenham who came out on top.

A first-half goal from surprise starter Vinicius gave Spurs the lead. Harry Kane’s second-half penalty ensured all three points went to Tottenham and kept their top-four hopes alive heading into the international break.

Man of the match: Lucas Moura. The Brazilian had another promising game for Spurs. He has been a shining light in a poor Spurs side in the last couple of games, but today he inspired the rest of the team to victory.

Flop of the match: Lo Celso was out on the right and he struggled to influence the game.
