Chelsea have already had a £25m rebuffed by the Toffees, who are thought to be holding out for at least £30m. The Premier League champions will be desperate to get somebody through the door before the transfer deadline, having missed out on a number of key targets.

Recently, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has signed for Liverpool after he rejected a move to Chelsea from Arsenal. To rub salt in the wounds, Spurs are set to steal Swansea striker Fernando Llorente from under their noses. Antonio Conte will be largely unimpressed by the events of the last couple of days, and will be hoping that Chelsea can land Barkley.

Arsenal on the other hand have declared they have no interest in Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez, and will be looking to add another creative player to their ranks before the 11pm deadline tonight. Ross Barkley could prove to be a prime target before tonight’s deadline according to reports. They may well lose Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City and might be looking for a new playmaker to replace him.

Spurs have been interested in Barkley all summer if you believe various reports and might be leaving it late to make a bid for one of their man targets. Mauricio Pochettino is a huge admirer of the attacking-midfielder and has been pushing Daniel Levy to make a move. Ronald Koeman has been undecided all summer whether the Englishman will leave Goodison Park or not.

With all three London rivals interested in the Everton midfielder, the Toffees could well get their full asking price for Barkley. The closer this transfer saga drags on up until the deadline, the more desperate clubs will be to get a new playmaker through the door and the bids could get higher and higher.

Where will Barkley end up at the 11pm deadline tonight?
