1pm Spurs Transfer Update: Aurier, Llorente, Gray, Janssen, Barkley

Tottenham look like they will be busy today and we’ve accumulated all the latest stories to give you a transfer update as of 1pm on transfer deadline day. 10 hours to go…

Serge Aurier

Is officially a Tottenham player! The club announced the news on their official Twitter page around 30 minutes ago. Aurier is going to be Kyle Walker’s replacement at the club, so overall it’s very good for Tottenham to get this one done.

Leicester City appear reluctant to part with Gray today and have turned down a £25million bid from Bournemouth on deadline day. Tottenham have also been heavily linked with a move, but it seems a bid in excess of £30million would be needed for Leicester to part with Gray. Tottenham are reportedly ahead of Bournemouth in the race to sign Gray though, so this is certainly one worth keeping your eyes on as the day develops.

Fernando Llorente

Chelsea and Tottenham remain locked in a battle to sign Llorente today. Tottenham have agreed a fee with Swansea, but the problem now lies in agreeing a contract with the Spanish forward. Llorente would give Tottenham something they don’t have currently in attack, and would provide a brilliant alternative attacking option to Kane, but is he prepared to play second fiddle to the Englishman? You’ve got to hedge your bets today as to what exactly will happen. You can do so at Grande Vegas mobile casino if Deadline Day is boring you!

If Llorente arrives then you can expect Janssen to be on his way. West Brom are interested in a £25million deal. Incredibly, Tottenham look set to make a profit on Janssen if he was to leave. This would be a masterstroke by Levy considering the players form in his debut season at the club.

Ross Barkley

Who knows where Barkley will end up today? There are no significant developments on this one but Barkley remains likely to leave today with several Premier League clubs interested in his services. The player is currently injured and that currently complicates any move. Chelsea are favorites but no club currently appears willing to meet Everton’s £30million+ valuation for Barkley, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
