Two Up Front: Tottenham Team News And Predicted Line-Up To Face Liverpool

CM: Victor Wanyama

Another top class performance in the middle of the park from Wanyama against Middlesbrough, and we will need much of the same from the Kenyan midfielder here.

CM: Mousa Dembele

Dembele has also been in terrific form, and will look to cause some problems going forward with his strong running as well as looking to frustrate Liverpool in the midfield by breaking up the play.

RM: Dele Alli

I fancy Dele Alli to provide the width on the right. If he plays his cards right, he has the beating of left-back James Milner and can look to get a cross into the box. Recently winning the player of the month award, Alli is on fire, and he will be a key figure here for Spurs.

LM: Christian Eriksen

I backing Christian Eriksen to start on the other wing for Spurs. He can whip a good ball into the box if given too much time and the in-swinger from the left towards the back post will be a dangerous one that Spurs attackers can look to get on the end of.

ST: Heung-Min Son

Slightly different from recent weeks, but I am backing Son to form a partnership up front with Kane. If, like I mentioned in an earlier post, Mauricio Pochettino instructs Spurs to absorb the Liverpool pressure and catch them on the break, Son will be a key figure, and I feel would be more influential playing up front, using his blistering pace to get in behind the Liverpool back line.

ST: Harry Kane

If this is to work, Kane will have to quickly develop an understanding with Son. He might look to play more of a target man role and lay balls into Son to run at the defence. It will be interesting to see what happens here, and if Pochettino choose to play two up front in Son and Kane.
