Son & Dier Out, Janssen Starts! Tottenham Team News & Predicted Line-Up To Face Swansea

CDM: Victor Wanyama

He had a brilliant first half against Chelsea. I think that Wanyama will start here, but one criticism I would have of him is that he doesn’t move the ball fast enough in the midfield. This is an area of his game that he will have to improve in in the very near future.

CDM: Mousa Dembele

Like Wanyama, Dembele had a fantastic first half at Stamford Bridge, but lost his way in the second half. For me, one of his worst performances in the Premier League this season just looking at the second half. However, I have full confidence that he will be back to his best here.

CAM: Christian Eriksen

Back amongst the goals last week, and although it wasn’t enough to get anything out of the game, that will have boosted the Dane’s confidence. We could rely on a little bit of trickery here from Eriksen to see of Swansea here.

CAM: Dele Alli

Alli has been pretty ineffective in the last few weeks, but could hit top form at any time again this season. I think he will start here ahead of Son, who looks low on confidence after that miss against Monaco.

ST: Vincent Janssen

Mauricio Pochettino has indicated that he wants Spurs to play with two strikers, and he could experiment with that again here. For me, it will take that first goal from open play for Janssen to start firing them in for fun.

ST: Harry Kane

It has been a good return for Kane, but the Spurs lads will need to get more balls up to the striker here than they did against Chelsea, as I thought he was a little isolated at times. It will be made a little easier for him here if two strikers start up top.
