Son & Dier Out, Janssen Starts! Tottenham Team News & Predicted Line-Up To Face Swansea

Spurs are in desperate need of a win. Back-to-back defeats against Monaco and Chelsea have left Spurs out of the Champions League and now four points outside of the top four.

December begins with a game against Swansea, who prevailed with the three points last week in a dramatic 5-4 win against Crystal Palace at the Liberty Stadium. Spurs will be without Erik Lamela and Ben Davies through injury, and Mauricio Pochettino is set to make a late call on the fitness of Toby Alderweireld. Here is the Spurs predicted line-up to face Swansea at White Hart Lane.

GK: Hugo Lloris

The Frenchman has made some key saves this season, and had a stunner of a game against Monaco. No reason why he shouldn’t start here.

RB: Kyle Walker

Walker will look to cause more of a threat down the wing this time around, mainly because he will not have the threat of Hazard and Alonso to nullify. He should start in this one.

CB: Kevin Wimmer

Eric Dier was at fault for the two goals against Chelsea last week, and could find himself being dropped as a result. With Toby Alderweireld still not 100% fit, Wimmer could well step in, this time at the heart of the defence rather than at left-back like last week.

CB: Jan Vertonghen

I, like many others, are delighted to see Vertonghen sign a new contract with the club. He has built up a special partnership with Toby Alderweireld in the centre of the defence, but he will have to wait another week at least to rekindle that relationship. He should feature here.

LB: Danny Rose

Danny was sorely missed last week against Chelsea, and it will be good to have him back here. Wimmer offered nothing going forward and struggled to deal with what was coming at him coming down his side. He is simply not a left-back, and Danny’s presence will be welcome against Swansea.
