Three Changes! The 3-5-2 Starting XI That Will Beat Monaco In Must-Win Champions League Fixture

CDM: Mousa Dembele

This is something that Pochettino will be having headaches about. Does he play two holding midfielders? Or does he play one and allow both creative players, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen to start? It is a tough one. I would go with just Dembele in the holding role. However, this will restrict his lisence to get forward as much as he did in the game against Arsenal.

CAM: Dele Alli

Alli may have been fit to start on Saturday, but he made an appearence from the bench. Was Pochettino saving him for this crunch clash? I think he might have been. He has been key to Spurs this season, and will be key here is Spurs are to take all three points in Monaco.

CAM: Christian Eriksen

The Danish international didn’t have his best of games on Saturday against West Ham, but he showed against Arsenal in the North London derby how effective he can be on his day. Whether he picks out a beauty of a pass or deliveres a delightful free-kick, Eriksen is always capable of something special. He should start here.

ST: Heung-min Son

Spurs will largely look to catch Monaco on the break on Tuesday night. Pochettino played two up front at the Emirates, with Son providing the pace and looking to deliver balls to Harry Kane on the break. I think that this is the way Pochettino should set up again in Monaco. He changed the game on Saturday, and has the ability to do that again here.

ST: Harry Kane

What a return it has been for Kane! Following his brace against West Ham, he has netted three times in two games since his return from injury. His goalscoring record and the positive impact he has on the whole squad says it all. He will be one of the first names on the teamsheet. He will have to be clinical if Spurs are to walk away with all three points.
