Eriksen Recalled! The 4-2-3-1 XI That Pochettino Must Field At Stamford Bridge

CDM: Victor Wanyama

Not a great performance from Wanyama on Tuesday. He will need to step up here, making strong tackles and moving the ball quickly. The shield in front of the back line will be crucial here, and if it strong, Spurs can think about getting a result.

CDM: Mousa Dembele

Also below-par from the Belgian in midweek. His strong running on the ball and his ability to break up the play in the midfield will be key at Stamford Bridge, and we will be hoping for a much better display from Dembele on Saturday evening.

RAM: Dele Alli

Alli disappeared for most of the game on Tuesday, but he did win the penalty that led to Spurs’ only goal. He could potenatilly move out towards the right to provide a bit of width on the attack.

CAM: Christian Eriksen

For me, Eriksen plays a lot better in a more central role behind the striker rather than out on the wing. Dele Alli on his day can make a difference anywhere, and it would be better to play Eriksen behind the striker. Nothing much has gone for him in the last few weeks, and it will surely only be a matter of time before he hits top form again.

LAM: Heung-min Son

Inconsistent is the only way to describe the South Korean at the moment. He put in a match winning performance against West Ham last week, but was awful and cost Spurs the game on Tuesday. I am sure he will start here, but he will need to show the form of last Saturday.

ST: Harry Kane

It has been a good return from injury for Harry Kane. Four goals in his last three, although three were penalties. He was isolated up front on Tuesday, and Spurs will need to provide him with more service at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
