3 – Joao Moutinho
A player that has long been linked with a move to Tottenham and many English sides, aged 30, surely now is the time for Moutinho to come and test himself in the best league in the world. Moutinho is a creative midfielder than can dictate the play and turn midfield to attack seamlessly. When Dembele is injured, Tottenham really lack a player like that, and as is the case with Kane, Tottenham cannot afford to fall apart if one player gets injured. Both Wanyama and Dier have proven to be good players, but I think another creative central player is needed in this squad to ensure it can compete on all fronts until the end of the season. A midfield duo of Dier/Wanyama and Dembele/Moutinho would be brilliant. Moutinho has a great passing range and is just as likely to play a brilliant long ball as he is a short one – it is this diversity that Spurs would benefit from in midfield right now.
