2) Superb Defensive Record
Spurs had the joint second best defensive record last season, and was a huge part of why we were able to challenge for the title last season, coupled with the terrific goalscoring form the team was in.
The defensive unit has started the season in a similar fashion. We have conceded just three goals this season, none of which have been from open play. Two from set pieces, and one from the penalty spot, meaning we currently hold the best defensive record in the Premier League this season.
The fact that we were able to shut out an in-form Manchester City side last weekend in a 2-0 win I though was remarkable. They had been scoring on average three goals a game before they run into Spurs at White Hart Lane, and the defence can gain even more confidence from that solid performance.
