We know Pochettino loves to rotate his full backs and in Davies he has a solid rotation option to Danny Rose available – this will be very handy when it comes to the congested fixture schedule in the winter. Davies was brilliant in helping Tottenham keep a clean sheet and also pegging back the home team. Amazingly the Welshman won a huge 9 aerial duels. Davies made 80 touches on Saturday, that was more than anyone else on the pitch. He made 5 interceptions, that’s more than any other Tottenham player. He also made 3 clearances and 2 tackles. Defensively, his performance was sound and it will give Pochettino something to think about in terms of who is his first choice left back. Going forward, Davies made one key pass, and attempted 5 long balls, impressively being accurate with 4 of them.

Now, on to the Champions League …
