Player Ratings: Spurs 1-0 Sunderland – Do You Agree?

Spurs managed to turn a dominant attacking display into a 1-0 victory to return to winning ways after that disappointing Champions League loss at Wembley against Monaco.

Harry Kane scored the winner as he scored his second goal in two league games as he, Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier came off injured in the win at White Hart Lane. Here are our Spurs player ratings.

Hugo Lloris- 6

Had very little to do throughout the whole game in a dominant Spurs display, another clean sheet for the Frenchman.

Kyle Walker- 7

Looked a threat going down the right-hand side again, but I think the Wembley pitch suits him better with more space to run into. An excellent clearance off the line just before half-time that kept the scores level.

Eric Dier- 6

Slotted in well at centre-back away from his usual role as a defensive midfielder. Like all others in the back four, had very little to do and had a good game until he hobbled off in the second half.

Toby Alderweireld- 6

A real threat from corners once again and is proving to be a nightmare to mark on corners, another good display yet again from our most consistent performer.

Jan Vertonghen- 6

Ben Davies was left out of side yesterday with Pochettino not too keen on the Welshman played three games in just over a week, and I felt Vertonghen looked solid on the left but inevitably didn’t provide as much threat going forward.

Mousa Dembele- 7

His first start this season following the expiration of his contract, and yet again looked amazing bossing the midfield, breaking up play like he usually does so well and was a shame to see him limp off.

Victor Wanyama- 6

Had a fairly quiet game, he looked to get forward a lot more often than we would usually see him get forward such was the attacking dominance of our performance. A solid display, but I am sure there will be more to come from Wanyama.
