Despite fitting into the ‘top lad’ category of the Redknapp scouting, David Beckham, a player who was more well known than political and religious figures around the world, would have taken the attention away from Redknapp himself, and he couldn’t be having that. After all, Redknapp himself has placed the success of the club down to him and only him, meaning that he didn’t give the players the credit they deserved.
