Our first league game since humiliating Chelsea 5-3 in New Year’s Day, we headed to Selhurst Park on Saturday night feeling optimistic of another three points and despite a rocky start where we struggled to find our rhythm we took the lead early on in the 2nd half through Harry Kane.

Then the game turned on an extremely dubious penalty decision when Benjamin Stambouli fouled Jason Puncheon even though the Frenchman won the ball, Dwight Gayle converted the penalty to make it 1-1. Then we conceded the late goal through another piece of bad defending which gave Puncheon the opportunity to win the game, costing us a game which we had a very good chance of taking everything from but we went home, in the end, with nothing.
