What Exactly Is Mauricio Pochettino’s Best Team?

Although Lamela has lacked quality this season, I have been very impressed with the Argentine’s work-rate in recent weeks, most notably against Liverpool at Anfield, also getting an assist to his name in the 2-3 loss. Hopefully the winger can start to show some of that quality that we paid £30m for in the summer of 2013.

Christian Eriksen has been a very influential figure at Spurs this season, and has won the Lilywhites thirteen Premier League points in the process, not to mention scoring a last gasp winner to send Tottenham to Wembley. He simply has to be in the team.

Nacer Chadli has quietly gone about his business this term, and has notched up seven league goals this season in the process. Christian Eriksen has been on the receiving end of some criticism regarding his form in the ‘big’ games, Chadli has been at his best, grabbing goals against Arsenal and Chelsea.

It couldn’t really be anybody else could it? Since his introduction into the first team by Mauricio Pochettino after showing excellent form in cup competitions, Kane has lit up White Hart Lane. He has won the same number of Premier League points as Eriksen too.

Kane certainly has been at his best in the ‘big’ games. Scoring crucial goals against Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal, Harry has excelled as an all-round player, showing his qualities whether it be making a strong thirty-yard run, or keeping his cool to slot the ball home past the keeper.
