The defence has been questionable at times. However, recently one can’t fault the commitment of our number one centre back! His commitment and experience is what we need against a currently in form Liverpool team. By ensuring that the back is as solid as can be, it allows us to play confidently on the ball.
His eagerness to win the ball back will be of example to the team and that his leadership role should help us ensure a victory against Liverpool. The centre backs ability to defend is unquestionable at the moment but we need to ensure that this moment is carried forward tomorrow night and ensure victory.
