3) Create Strong Protection In Front Of Defence

In this, I mean the two in front of the defence if we play in a 4-2-3-1 set up. This will have to be physical players that can put in a tackle and have a physical presence that they carry around with them.  This will be needed to nick the ball off of the Chelsea attacking players and prevent them from making their way towards our defensive unit. The aim is to make Chelsea play most of their football in the middle of the park.

I feel that to some extent that Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb can provide this protection in front of the defence, but they do not carry that physical presence that maybe Etienne Capoue may bring to the side. However, Capoue is not in the best of form, and we cannot give anything away to Jose Mourinho’s side if we are to have any chance of taking any points away from Stamford Bridge. Mason and Bentaleb can help out with the pressing too, we saw that they can on Sunday.
