An impressive showing at the European Championships for France, and the next thing Moussa Sissoko knows, he is Tottenham’s deadline day club record signing at the time for £30m. He has not lived up to his billing.

The Frenchman has struggled to adapt to life at Tottenham and has yet to score a single goal in a Spurs shirt. Despite becoming a record signing last summer, Sissoko was handed just eight starts in his debut season at White Hart Lane.

Sissoko started on the opening day of the new Premier League season against his old club Newcastle, but the Frenchman failed to have a significant impact on the game and was hauled off just under 60 minutes into the game.

According to the Daily Mail, both Inter Milan and Trabzonspor are interested in taking Sissoko off Tottenham’s hands, but only on loan. Spurs are reportedly pushing for a permanant deal and are looking to recoup as much of the original £30m spent as possible.
