3 Big Money Signings Tottenham Reportedly Want To Make This Summer

Tottenham are yet to make a significant addition to their team this summer, but the sale of Kyle Walker has left many fans wondering how and if the club will re-invest. If they do choose to, then attacking players will be important – Spurs have struggled at times in attacking areas, and often rely too much on Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen for goals and creativity. In this article, I take a look at 3 big money signings Tottenham are reportedly looking to make this summer.

1 – Riyad Mahrez

The London Evening Standard say that Tottenham are monitoring the situation of Mahrez, but will not get involved in the bidding unless the price drops significantly. Leicester are quoting teams £50million for the former Premier League Player of the Year, but the Algerian’s performances last season has seen his stock fall somewhat, and no club appears keen to meet that asking price. Leicester have already rejected a bid from Roma – it is thought that the offer was close to £20million.

Tottenham appear to have their purse strings tightened and I doubt there would be serious interest unless the asking price dropped to something closer to £30million.
