Is Barkley just another overpriced Premier League midfielder, like Moussa Sissoko has proven to be? The Everton man has struggled for consistency at Everton under Koeman, but that hasn’t stopped Tottenham being interested, according to reports. The 23-year-old has a lot of unfulfilled potential, but would he realise that at Tottenham? Possibly. £30million could be enough to persuade Everton to sell considering the player has just one year left on his current contract.
Pochettino is said to be interested in Barkley, but will not make him the clubs top earner. It had been suggested that Barkley was asking for wages of around £150,000 per week, but these reports have recently been rubbished by Barkley’s entourage.
