Enough is Enough: 3 Spurs Players Who Must Be Sold In The Summer

Tottenham have just endured two really tough defeats to Liverpool and Gent and some players have continued to put in lackluster performances in the process. Although we are a long way from the summer transfer window, I wanted to vent my frustration at three players, whom I feel need to move on from the club in the summer.

1. Moussa Sissoko

What a poor signing Sissoko has turned out to be. At £30million, he is the clubs record signing but he has produced performances that wouldn’t justify a £5million price tag let alone thirty. Playing on the right wing mostly, Sissoko has been running down blind alleys, forever failing to produce any sort of end product. If he was young, I’d say give him more time, but he’s 27. If he was new to the English game I’d say give him more time, but he’s been playing in England since 2013. There is literally no excuse for his poor performances and despite Pochettino’s brilliant tactical nouse, he has really made a mess here. If we can recoup even half of what we paid for him, it’ll be great business.

2. Georges-Kevin N’Koudou

N’Koudou has perhaps not been given enough time to show his true colours, with just 2 starts since he arrived in the summer. Whenever he has featured though, he’s looked pretty poor. To me, this looks very much like another Clinton N’Jie situation and I can see him going back to France in the summer. Tottenham need some proven quality in the final third. The main players are young (Kane, Alli) and the back up players like N’Koudou are also young. This means when push comes to shove at these important stages of the season, the club don’t have enough quality or know how to score enough goals to win games. N’Koudou seems to be a bit of a nothing player and if he moves on it will allow a squad space for someone else to come in, someone who would surely be more effective.
