Stats: Tottenham’s 3 Best Peformers vs. Liverpool

A point. Not the best performance but a point and we are undefeated heading into the first international break. It has been far from the perfect start to the season but at the same time we remain undefeated. Here’s my thoughts on the three best performers from Saturday afternoon’s game.

1 – Danny Rose

Rose has been one of Tottenham’s best performers this season and that continued on Saturday. He scored the all-important goal, but that was not the only good thing he did. Rose, despite his height, is rather strong in the air and he won 3 aerial duels. He also made 3 tackles and completed 2 attacking dribbles. These statistics highlight the players improving overall impact going forward and defending. Previously Rose had been dubbed an attacking full back that struggles to defend. Slowly but surely he is turning this into a myth. In a dismal England campaign at the Euros I felt that Rose was one of the countries best players. He has also started the season as one of the clubs best players, appearing consistently in our top 3 players of the week.
