Tottenham have been very busy in the last couple of days. Their transfer activity has been high, but predominantly in terms of selling players, including Ryan Mason officially joining Hull City. But with just one day to go in the transfer window, Spurs desperately need to sign some players. Taking a look at the latest media reports, we had a look at 4 deadline day signings the club could make today.
1 – Isco
According to The Mirror, Tottenham have made a last ditch attempt to sign Real Madrid outcast Isco on a season-long loan deal. Isco has been out of favour at Real Madrid and is now even seeing the young Asensio start ahead of him. Zinedine Zidane publicly has said he wants to keep the player at the club, but with a lack of game time at present, you wouldn’t be surprised to see the Spaniard move on. Isco is not the most productive midfielder in terms of goals and assists, but he is a very creative presence and can play wide or as a number 10. Tottenham have struggled to retain possesion high up the pitch so far this season and they could certainly benefit from an attacking midfielder of Isco’s quality, in my opinion. Let’s wait and see what happens with this one.
