Recent reports have suggested that Tottenham will make a move or have made a move for Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke, and midfielder Nacer Chadli is hoping that the star will join Spurs.
It has also been reported that Chelsea are interested in the striker who netted thirteen times in the Premier League last season, and it could take a bid of £32.5m to take the Belgian away from Aston Villa.
Should both clubs come in with a bid of the same offer, it is possible that Benteke could be left with a choice to make, Chelsea or Spurs, and Nacer Chadli is hoping that Benteke would choose Spurs over Chelsea should it come to it.
The midfielder who has been in a good bit of form this season is hoping that the striker will be coming in at White Hart Lane this summer, and may have a little chat with him on international duty.
“I hope it’s going to happen, but first they have to attract him and there are a lot of clubs who want him – and Christian has to make his choice.”
Eden Hazard has already urged the striker to join Chelsea, but Nacer Chadli will have his fingers crossed in the hope that Benteke will ignore Hazard’s advice.
