Tottenham boss Maurcio Pochettino has said that the team are now playing the way that he wants them to.

Following the New Year’s Day win over Chelsea via a 5-3 scoreline, Pochettino said that the team are starting to get to grips with what is being asked of them, and it showed against Chelsea, scoring five goals in the process.

Previously, the Spurs side have struggled to adapt to the new style of football that the Argentine has tried to implement into the side, but things are looking on the up after the win.

The arrival of Pochettino brought big expectation of attacking football and high pressing style, and this is starting to find it’s way into the Tottenham side.

“I think that we are very happy with what the team showed against Chelsea,”

“The team are starting to show what we want to see.”

The boss could be looking to bring in Everton and Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy, and it is though that he is willing to take to Pochettino’s style of play, especially the high pressing aspect of it.
