Tottenham ran out 4-2 winners over Burnley in the FA Cup third round replay. As reports suggested just a day before, Harry Kane was left out of the starting line-up and was given a rest. That didn’t stop the goals from flooding in though. We saw four Tottenham goals at White Hart Lane in a match that has action right from the off. Burnley surged into a two-goal lead after just eight minutes, but goals from Paulinho, Etienne Capoue, Vlad Chiriches and Danny Rose helped Spurs to an FA Cup victory, to set up a fourth round tie at White Hart Lane with Leicester a week on Saturday. Twitter were happy with the win, and felt that all of the players on the pitch played very well on the night. Mauricio Pochettino fielded many fringe players in the starting line-up, and it was good to see these perform well. This is how Twitter reacted.
Good win, Townsend the star man by far tonight…Chadli performed well as per #THFC #COYS

Tottenham and Chelsea are the only British teams to still remain in every competition they began the season in. #COYS pic.twitter.com/aneDoTcMFx

Tonight proved the worth of many lesser valued players in the squad. Every player has an important role. #COYS
