Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been sent home due to a family issue. It is believed that one of his close family members has become extremely ill. Spurs have said that it is a ‘private matter’.
This means that the striker will miss Tottenham’s trip to Besiktas, although he was already a doubt to make the starting eleven. It is also unlikely that he will return for our trip to Wales to face Swansea, and could possibly miss a sizeable chunk of the busy festive period.
Adebayor’s season started well, seeming to build a good relationship with head coach Mauricio Pocehttino, and was one of the Argentine’s surprise selections as a vice-captain. He started off well, scoring a goal against QPR in our second Premier League match and one in October against Newcastle.
