Or Tottenham could go for the player they know is going to leave this summer. Roma are said to be leading the chase, but it is thought that Mahrez would prefer to stay in England. Leicester, like Everton had originally slapped a £50million price tag on the former PFA Player of the Year, but with the Algerian pushing for a transfer, his asking price is now thought to be closer to £35million – an amount that would surely prove to be worth it if the midfielder could replicate the form he showed a couple of seasons ago. He’s 26-years-old and is moving into the prime years of his career, in my opinion Tottenham should be doing everything in their power to get this signing done. Spurs have recently been linked with Mahrez, but more recent reports suggest a medical at Roma could already be booked in.
