The North London derby is usually a passion-fuelled affair. The fans want to win. The players want to win. The managers want to win. This is the case in every derby across the country, but this rivalry will always be one of the fiercest rivalries in England, if not, the world.
Arsenal have not beaten Spurs in four North London derbies in the league, and Spurs will be keen to extend this unbeaten run, having only won on one occasion out of the four. It is important that Spurs make a good start, and will be keen to make a statement after embarrassingly finishing below their neighbours following a fatal collapse at the end of last season.
We all say that form goes out of the window in the derby, but the performance against Bayer Leverkusen in midweek from Spurs was an absolute disgrace. If they are to stand any chance at all of getting anything from their trip to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon, they must dramatically improve in all areas of the pitch.
