2) Mix Up His Play A Little More
More often than not, we see Janssen looking for a ball to his feet so he can hold the play up and attempt to lay the ball off to a teammate. As effective as this can prove to be at times, I would like to see him mix up his play a little more.
For example, we talked about playing more ambitious passes, but I feel that Janssen could perhaps attempt to make more runs and receive the ball when he is through on goal. This attitude may finally get him scoring at Spurs, rather than playing with his back to goal most of the time, where he can do minimal damage in terms of scoring goals himself.
We have seen the likes of Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli slip gems of passes through to the striker. We have the players, Janssen just needs to put himself in the positions to take these opportunities.
