West Ham Defender To Make Spurs Switch In Summer

Various reports suggest that West Ham defender Winston Reid has agreed to join Tottenham in the summer, for nothing at all.

The Mirror claim that Reid has agreed a £60,000 a week contract with Mauricio Pochettino’s side, and will hook up with his new team in the summer when his contract at West Ham expires.

However, the defender is not able to formally agree a deal, but Mirror Sport say that ‘sources close to the deal say it is done for the summer’.

It is now apparent as to why the New Zealand man has turned down many offers of a new contract from the Hammers, and has also snubbed offers from the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Reid has been the subject of much interest of a handful of Premier League, and has put in solid performances on a consistent basis this season.

Younes Kaboul and Vlad Chiriches could be heading out of the exit door at White Hart Lane, and it seems Spurs have found their summer replacement for the defensive pair.
