3 – Cristian Eriksen
Tottenham’s attack and particularly attacking midfielders have been widely criticized in recent weeks, struggling to break down teams in Europe and domestically. Eriksen provided the assist for two of Kane’s goals to give him some much-needed confidence heading into the business end of the season. Spurs will need him in this kind of form if they are to secure a top four finish this season and have a chance at winning the FA Cup. Eriksen took more risks in the game today, and his passing was far from perfect, with just a 77% accuracy.
But it was refreshing to see Eriksen take more chances in possession and help the team score two goals from two assists. Eriksen has definitely fallen behind Alli and Kane in attacking importance recently, but if he can deliver performances like this more frequently then he will again be considered amongst the best.
