Janssen Starts: Tottenham Team News And Predicted Line-Up To Face Sunderland

CDM: Victor Wanyama

Wanyama has been rock solid in the middle of the park for Spurs, and I back him to start here and continue his good form protecting the back line.

CDM: Harry Winks

I have been really impressed with young Harry Winks in the last few months. He always brings that extra energy into the midfield, and his strength on and off the ball should never be underestimated. I think he will play from the start here.

RAM: Dele Alli

Came on and made the difference once again on Saturday, finishing well for the equaliser late on. It seems at the moment, Alli is the one for Spurs that is the difference between winning and drawing, or drawing and losing. Pochettino would be a fool to leave him out.

CAM: Christian Eriksen

A relatively quiet game last time out against Manchester City for Eriksen. However, he provided the crucial pass through to Kane, who then set up Son for the second goal. I can see him making a real difference in this game should he start.

LAM: Heung-min Son

Son is on fire again! Two goals on Saturday, albeit both helped by deflections, and the crucial equaliser against City last time out in the Premier League. This will have caught the attention of Mauricio Pochettino, and I think Son will make the starting eleven here.

ST: Vincent Janssen

It was a shock that Janssen did not start against Wycombe in all honesty. Maybe he was being rested for this one at the Stadium of Light? However, when he did come on, he played well, scoring from the spot and playing a lovely one-two with Son for the winner. That would have done his confidence a world of good going forward.
