3 Things We Learned As Spurs Fell To A Toothless Defeat At Old Trafford

A couple of weeks ago, we heard Pochettino say that big money summer signing Moussa Sissoko needs to offer more at Spurs, saying that he was falling short of what the club were expecting of him in his first few months, saying that he needs to prove his worth on the training ground before he can do so on the pitch.

Sissoko has made just eight appearances in the Premier League this season, and has failed to establish himself as a first team regular, not even making the matchday squad on a number of occasions this term since his summer deadline day move from Newcastle.

However, Sissoko did make a positive impact yesterday when he came off the bench at Old Trafford. He caused Matteo Darmian all kinds of trouble down the Spurs right with his pace and strength to beat his man. Unfortunately, the crosses he managed to get into the box caused minimal trouble, but he could be in line for a Premier League start in the near future after a strong performance against Manchester United.
