Wolfsburg are hoping to complete a £17million deal for Tottenham misfit Heung-Min Son according to the London Evening Standard. Son was widely expected to be a huge hit at Tottenham following a promising start to his career in the Bundesliga. From what we’ve seen so far it could be that the forward is more suited to football in Germany as he has failed to adapt to Tottenham’s style of play. The 24-year-old has already 48 caps for his country, where he is rated extremely highly. At his age he needs to be playing more regularly for his club though – Son has played 28 times for Tottenham, but most of those appearances have come as a substitute. Personally I think Son has a lot of potential and I don’t think selling him would be a great idea at the moment. A loan deal may be a better route forward as it would allow Tottenham to have a better player should he develop from a years game time, or they could even pick up more money than they could this summer, following a season of being on the periphery.
