4 Reasons Why Spurs Can Beat Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City To Title

In a strange Premier League season just gone, Leicester City claimed a shock league title win, and Spurs proved to be their closest challengers for top spot. The season ended in disappointment with a third placed finish for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, and here are four reasons why the Lilywhites can go two better next season and win the title.

1 – Squad Depth

Mauricio Pochettino has made his aims for this summer transfer window clear from the start, and that is to improve his squad’s depth as he and the team prepare for a return to the Champions League for the 2016/17 season after a five season absence from the competition.

The summer acquisitions of Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen for a combined total of an estimated £28m have added to the squad depth, Victor Wanyama could well slot into the starting eleven from the start, but we can all but confirm that Janssen will have to battle for his place.

With the Champions League coming up next term, rotation will be key for Pochettino, and I believe with a couple more signings, perhaps a centre-back as well as an attacking midfielder, the squad should be strong enough to cope with a strong Premier League campaign as well as a run in the Champions League.

The full-back positions are in my opinion very well covered, and the same can be said about the defensive midfield, and now after the addition of Janssen, we now have more than one viable option up front. But as I say, an extra central defender and an attacking midfielder over the summer would not do the squad any harm at all.
