The French international was phenomenal last season and pulled off excellent acrobatic saves consistently all season, there was a slight worry about the future of the Spurs man but the club are now confident their number one goalkeeper will sign a new deal this summer after lengthy talks with Daniel Levy.

Lloris has found himself without Champions League football for many seasons which hasn’t warranted his performances, but after sticking by the North London club he has now got what he deserves after the club secured European football next season.

He certainly took his league form into the summer as Lloris had an inspirational tournament for France at the Euros and led his nation to the final, which they unfortunately lost. But, as always Lloris was producing save after save and kept France in games at times.

The 29-year-old enjoyed another season in England last year and once again proved his goalkeeping skills with a wide range of brilliant saves and performances. Lloris managed to keep 0.35 clean sheets per 90 minutes which is very impressive for a goalkeeper, who was helped massively by the resilient defence. Lloris has been one of the best keepers in Europe for many seasons and managed 1.84 saves per 90 minutes last season which is very consistent. There are many aspects to being a great goalkeeper and punches and catches are two main attributes, Lloris managed to score 0.73 and 1.86 on the latter which is once again an indication of his abilities.

Spurs have found themselves a very promising, stable squad and Lloris will be delighted that Mauricio Pochettino recently signed a new deal to stay with the club as he seems to have a fine relationship with the boss.

The club will be delighted he intends to stay in London as Manchester United have constantly been sniffing around his situation since Real Madrid’s interest in David De Gea.

Lloris will go into next season with high hopes, like the rest of the squad and the Spurs faithful, he will be delighted with the prospect of playing on the biggest stage of them all next season and I feel they can have another title push if this man continues to showcase his breath-taking abilities.
