Last night, Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor stated on Twitter that he will be staying at Spurs a further year, despite reports linking him with a move away from the club.
The striker has decided that he would like to see out the final year of his contract at Spurs, and had decided that he would communicate his intent to stay in North London via Twitter.
This news wasn’t greed very well by Tottenham fans on social media in reply to Adebayor’s tweet, many communicating that they didn’t want Adebayor to see out his contract at the club.
The stiker has caused unrest in the Tottenham camp this season, that combined with family issues has seen the striker sit on the bench for an extended period, sometimes not even being included in the matchday squad on a few occasions.
Here is how the Tottenham fans reacted to the striker’s news regarding his future at Tottenham.
Contrary to reports, I am very happy at Tottenham and will do everything to fight for my place. I have a year to go on my …/ctd
