Tottenham have told Everton that they will have to pay a minimum of £6m if they are to secure the services of Aaron Lennon on a permanent basis.

The 27-year-old completed a loan move to Goodison Park in the January transfer window, and Spurs have now decided how much they want for the winger.

Lennon has made very few appearances for Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino, suggesting that he is deemed surplus to requirements by the Argentine boss.

Everton are weighing up their options, and could brining in a replacement, sending Lennon back to Tottenham, with Andre Ayew being thrown in the mix as a potential Everton newcomer.

The winger has impressed so far under Roberto Martinez, and could stay at Goodison Park on a permanent basis is the club think that they can get a good goals and assists return for a good couple of years.

Lennon scored the winner in Everton’s 2-1 win over struggling QPR at Loftus Road on Sunday.
