Off the back of a HUGE derby day win against Arsenal, Spurs face yet another tough game against Liverpool at Anfield that could prove crucial in the race for a top four place come the end of the season in May. Liverpool come into this game having played a derby of their own against Everton that resulted in a goalless draw at Goodison Park.

Team News:

Like for the past few games, Mauricio Pochettino has a fully fit squad to choose his starting eleven from, and could potentially name an unchanged side from Saturday.

Predicted Line-Up (4-2-3-1):

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris:

Starting Hugo in every game that is not in a cup competition is a bit of a no-brainer for Mauricio Pochettino. The Frenchman was solid in the derby day win over Arsenal, and is probably one of the first names on the teamsheet by now.

Defence: Kyle Walker, Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose:

Liverpool can attack and break with pace, that is clear to see when you have the likes of Raheem Sterling in your front line. This is the same back line that started, and played the full ninety minutes against Arsenal, and this seems like a defence that can handle the pace of Liverpool. Eric Dier played well on Saturday, so could keep his place in the starting eleven.

Midfield (Holding): Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb:

I thought these two played superbly on Saturday in the win over Arsenal, and you can’t see this partnership in the midfield being broken up in the near future. The two work perfectly together, and Ryan Mason can move forward in the knowledge that the defence is being protected well by the Algeria international.

Midfield (Attacking): Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen, Nacer Chadli:

We could see Nacer Chadli make his first start since returning from some time off due to a family bereavement. He has made a few substitute cameo performances in recent weeks, but we could see him make his first start as he looks to rediscover the form he had before he was forced to take time off. However, this would mean dropping Mousa Dembele, who has looked good in his last few games, and he may return after the game against Florentina in the cup in the London derby against West Ham the Sunday after.

Striker: Harry Kane:

Well, well, well. What a performance from Harry Kane at the weekend, scoring two goals in his first North London derby in the first team. Hopefully he can continue his fantastic form against Liverpool with a goal at Anfield.
